Skara Brae (pronounced /ˈskɑrə ˈbreɪ/) is a large stone-built Neolithic settlement, located on the Bay of Skaill on the west coast of Mainland, Orkney, Scotland. It consists of ten clustered houses, and was occupied from roughly 3180 BC–2500 BC. Actually, I was there in the afternoon. I was also surprised that there were so few tourists. Well, Orkney is not exactly crowded, is it? To be quite honest, I had to wait a bit for the few who were wandering around to move out of my frame, but it didn't take ages.
